Episode 1 May 29, 2003
Cheaters Never Win --- And They Cheated!

12teams left Dodger Stadium racing around the world for a million dollars. They're some family, some friends, some dating. Tempers flared at the airport, when Josh/Steve helped Steve/Dave jump past 2 other teams for plane tix.

First, the Italian alps. Teams braved a perilous crossing, then took a leap of faith. A rigorous trek brought the air traffic controllers to their knees, and Amanda/Chris to each other's throats.

Three teams tied for first - Millie/Chuck, Amanda/Chris, Steve/Josh.

Tian/Jaree overcame the altitude and each other to barely stay alive. Married couple Debra/Steve were the first eliminated.


Episode 2: June 05, 2003
It Doesn't Say Anything About First Come, First Served. And We're Bigger.


11 teams left the snowy mountains of Cortina and raced to Venice. Along the way tensions rose when Reichen/Chip blocked the doors, called Steve/Josh Weezer and Geezer.

Russ/Cindy lost their way and their tempers, as did Tian/Jaree.

Teams found themselves in a puzzling masked ball.

The final 2 teams were moments apart; Amanda/Chris were eliminated.


Episode 3: June 12, 2003
"I Wasn't Even Going To Touch You Until You Slammed My Head Backwards"


10 teams set out from Venice and made their way to Vienna. The pressures wore on teams both emotionally and physically. Blood was drawn when Millie and Chip battled for a clue. Steve and Josh showed nimble moves to collect the Fast Forward. Tensions mounted (Tian/Jaree) and alliances were broken (Chip/Reichen and Dave/Jeff).

Teams braved the highest tower jump in Europe. Russell and Cindy were eliminated.


Episode 4: June 19, 2003
"Check Your Tires Because...Oh God, You Never Know What'll Happen!"

9 teams set out from this castle in Austria, and took on the LeMans race track. Teams felt the need for speed, but Chuck was struck with claustrophobia. Teams confronted Tian/Jaree and Reichen/Chip for allegedly cutting line. Tian/Jaree solved a puzzling Fast Forward while other teams faced a steep challenge. Steve/Dave struggled with injury but narrowly avoided elimination. Steve/Josh were eliminated, the fourth team to go.


Episode 5: June 26, 2003
"You Are Just Deliberately Trying To Make Us Lose"

8 teams set out from France and made their way to Amsterdam. Steve/Dave and David/Jeff missed their flight, puting them in the back. Navigating the canals prooved to be too much for Tian/Jaree and Chuck/Millie.

It was a cheesy detour for 2 teams while others got smelly and dirty. Having lost time Millie/Chuck took a spin to claim the Fast Forward.

Tian/Jaree lost their way along with their tempers. Tian/Jaree missed elimination by minutes. Steve/Dave's luck ran out on them and were the fifth team eliminated.


Episode 6: July 3, 2003
"I Could Have Never Been Prepared For What I'm Looking At Right Now"

Seven teams set out from Amsterdam, traveled 4,700 miles to Mumbai India. Culture shock set in for many teams. A crowded train ride terrified the women. Tian/Jaree began to bond as a team. Kelly/Jon got a lesson in laundry. The roadblock was a fishy challenge for all. Monica/Sheree struggled with directions and were eliminated.


Episode 7: July 10, 2003
"We're Going Down The Wrong Side of the Freeway... and The Lights Are Off!"

Six teams set out from the Gateway of India in Mumbai, traveled 1,000 miles ... Tian/Jaree harrowing cab ride, Jon/Kelly got nasty, teams did the filthy bull race, Tian had trouble holding on. It came down to a race between two teams, and Tian/Jaree were eliminated.

Episode 8: July 17, 2003
"The Princess Reminded Me Of My Grandmother. She Was Very Old But Still Very, Very With It"

Five teams set out from India, traveled 5,000 miles to Malaysian Borneo. Teams separated themselves from the pack; the intensity of the race took its toll on Millie/Chuck. Chip/Reichen celebrated their 1st year anniversary, were headed for the front of the pack, but Jon/Al passed them at the end. Kelly/Jon had trouble getting it together in the Detour, but were saved by the first of three non-elimination legs.

Episode 9: July 24, 2003
"We’re Not At Charm School Learning How To Be A Gentleman, We’re Racing"

Five teams set out from Manukan Island and traveled around Malaysia Borneo. Kelly/Jon started the leg in last place and fell far behind after not winning the Fast Forward to Reichen/Chip. Millie/Chuck got lost driving and lost their tempers along with enged couple Kelly/Jon. It was the ladder part of the race which put Jon/Al in second place. It was a fast paced sprint to the pitstop between Millie/Chuck and Kelly/Jon, but the race had its toll on Millie/Chuck, and were the eighth team eliminated. Look for a non elimination round next week.

Episode 10: July 31, 2003
"That's Me. That's My Face. Just Hit My Face. Hit My Face!"

Four teams set out from Borneo and traveled to Seoul. Some teams got lost at the N.Korean border. The Roadblock was a chilling challenge. Reichen/Chip stopped for a "lively" meal. Kelly mustered her innermost strength. In the end it was a race between two teams; David/Jeff were the last to arrive. It was a non-elim leg.

Episode 11: August 7, 2003
"Such a Nice Pheremone Smell to You; Just Makes Me Want to Stay Close to You"

Four teams set out from this palace in Seoul, flew 7,000 miles to Brisbane. Jon and Al fell behind after missing a connection. Kelly/Jon tried to taunt Chip/Reichen, but Kelly gave in to the pressure of the rapell. David/Jeff floundered at the Fast Forward, but completed it and arrived in first place. Reichen took a swim with the sharks. Chip/Reichen received a mandatory time penalty for not following instructions, but Jon/Al were still eliminated.

Episode 12: August 14, 2003
"He's a Few Ticks Away from Having a Heart Attack!"
One team's attempt to use humor to lighten up a competition backfires; one player overturns a dune buggy; a competitor runs over his partner's foot with a car.

Episode 13: August 21, 2003
"It's Like Building Adam House"

The final 3 teams battle it out to the finish line. From Australia to Hawaii and then to the final city, Phoenix Arizona. First teams had to skydive to their next clue which brought fear to Kelly/Jon. After making a huge mistake, David/Jeff get airboruned in Australia while Reichen/Chip and Kelly/Jon fly to Hawaii. The roadblock was too mush fun for Jon and was fustrating for Chip. In the end it was a battle between Kelly/Jon and Reichen/Chip to the finish. In the end Reichen/Chip's cleverness made them the winners of The Amazing Race. Kelly/Jon were minutes behind them coming in 2nd Place. David/Jeff arrived in Hawaii only to find out that the race was over and that they were 3rd Place.
